The smart fortwo edition by Jeremy Scott introduced true uniqueness in colour and material choices. Loved by fans for expressing individuality combined with an unconventional approach to mobility. This distinctive approach is still visible today.

In 2008, we already began to embrace the power of electricity with the smart fortwo electric drive. Today, we are proud to be an all-electric brand, showcasing our commitment to sustainable mobility.

Going forward: the new smart

smart has always been a pioneer in urban mobility. In 2019, Mercedes-Benz and Zhejiang Geely Holding Group announced that the two global automotive groups have formed a joint venture for the smart brand, headquartered in Hangzhou Bay, Ningbo.

The new generation of pure electric smart vehicles is designed by the Mercedes-Benz global design team; Geely’s global R&D network is responsible for the engineering and development of the new models, with production plant in China.
